Beco Setup Tool app for iPhone and iPad

Welcome to the Beco App! This is the simple, intuitive mobile interface we’ve created to facilitate preliminary studies and to streamline the setup process after you’ve unboxed your Beco beacons.

If youre a demo user, just download the app, log in using your unique credentials, and youre good to go. If youre the one responsible for installation, you’ll use this same app to go through a quick three-step process for getting the Beco deployment set up.

1. Stand in the space you’d like to monitor and tap “+ Register Beco Beacons.” You will be prompted to scan a beacon’s QR code or enter the beacon ID manually (e.g. LPX DHZ).

2. Fill in some information about the space. This will include the name of the location (what building you’re in), the floor number, the place type (e.g. meeting room, kitchen, etc) and the place name (e.g. “Large conference room”). Tap “save” at the top right.

3. Once you’ve successfully recorded information, clip the Beco beacon onto a light.
… That’s it!

(Don’t worry if you didn’t get it quite right the first time – you can always tap “Modify This Beacon” while you’re standing nearby to change the beacon’s information)

Beacons will immediately begin streaming data onto the server, where you’ll be able to interact with Beco’s Occupancy API and Location API to discover valuable insights about your space.
